A

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs)

Water-soluble acids that exfoliate the skin's surface. Includes glycolic, lactic, and mandelic acids.

Best for: Dull skin, hyperpigmentation, fine lines

Usage: Start 1-2x/week, increase gradually. Use PM only.

Azelaic Acid

A gentle acid that brightens, fights acne, and reduces redness. Great for sensitive skin.

Best for: Rosacea, acne, melasma

Usage: Can be used AM and PM. Layer under moisturizer.

B

Bakuchiol

A plant-based alternative to retinol. Provides similar anti-aging benefits without irritation.

Best for: Anti-aging, sensitive skin

Usage: AM and PM safe. Pairs well with other actives.

Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA)

Oil-soluble acid that penetrates pores. Salicylic acid is the most common BHA.

Best for: Oily skin, blackheads, acne

Usage: Use 2-3x/week. Avoid mixing with other acids.

C

Ceramides

Lipids naturally found in skin. They strengthen the barrier and lock in moisture.

Best for: Dry skin, damaged barrier, eczema

Usage: Daily use. Look for in moisturizers and serums.

Centella Asiatica

Also known as Cica or Tiger Grass. Soothes, heals, and strengthens the skin barrier.

Best for: Sensitive skin, redness, wound healing

Usage: Daily use. Great post-procedure.

H

Hyaluronic Acid

A humectant that holds 1000x its weight in water. Plumps and hydrates skin.

Best for: All skin types, dehydration, fine lines

Usage: Apply to damp skin. Layer under moisturizer.

N

Niacinamide

Vitamin B3. Reduces pores, controls oil, brightens, and strengthens barrier.

Best for: All skin types, especially oily/combination

Usage: AM and PM. Plays well with most actives.

R

Retinol

Vitamin A derivative. The gold standard for anti-aging. Increases cell turnover.

Best for: Anti-aging, acne, texture

Usage: PM only. Start 1-2x/week. Always use sunscreen.

S

Squalane

A lightweight oil that mimics skin's natural sebum. Hydrates without clogging pores.

Best for: All skin types, dehydration

Usage: Daily use. Can be mixed with other products.

V

Vitamin C

Antioxidant that brightens, protects from free radicals, and boosts collagen.

Best for: Dull skin, hyperpigmentation, prevention

Usage: AM use recommended. Store away from light.

Z

Zinc

A mineral with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Found in sunscreens and acne treatments.

Best for: Acne, sensitive skin, sun protection

Usage: Daily in sunscreen. Spot treatments for acne.
